THE SHIP IS EMPTY. THE CREW IS STILL ABOARD.

THE SHIP IS EMPTY. THE CREW IS STILL ABOARD.

The cargo ship Orison vanished in a storm with twenty-two crew aboard.

Three weeks later, it came back.

The engines were warm. The lifeboats were untouched. The ship was empty.

Then investigators switched on a thermal camera.

Twenty-two human figures were moving through the corridors.

One stood less than a meter away.

Visually: nothing.

Thermal image: a person raising their hand.

The crew never left the ship.

They are trapped inside another physical version of the same vessel—occupying the same space, unable to touch or see the rescuers.

At first, knocks cross between them.

Then voices.

Then a man steps through at the wrong moment.

And the thermal headcount changes from twenty-two to twenty-three.

Later, it changes again.

Twenty-four.

Nobody else crossed.
