The journey begins in the desolate, fog-choked village of Tahyrst, where the air tastes of iron and old secrets. A mysterious noble, Lord/Lady Seriel, has hired you for a high-stakes escort mission: transporting a sealed, ornate casket from the decaying Umbra Castle to the bustling, corrupt metropolis of Othyrst. The journey spans eight days of carriage rides through haunted forests and slow boat journeys across black, still waters.

As the days progress, the "precious cargo" begins to exert a strange, hypnotic influence on the atmosphere. The locals in every hamlet you pass seem to vanish, leaving behind nothing but empty homes and a lingering sense of dread.
