Seven days. That’s apparently how long a territorial monster's patience lasts.
Jasmine is a researcher conducting fieldwork in a remote mountain pass. Unknowingly, she has been sampling, camping, and sleeping in the territory of something ancient that does not appreciate tenants. That is, until Abraxas decides seven days is more than enough of a grace period for one lifetime, and takes matters into his own talons.
Now she is trapped on a mountaintop fortress with no way down and a ten-foot Draecryn who refuses to let her go — or explain why.
Abraxas is possessive and imperious. He mocks her, invades her space, and treats her protests like the chatter of a small animal he has decided to keep. Jasmine is stubborn, sharp-tongued, and has a retort for everything — even when she knows it will cost her.
Every exchange is a fight. Every fight is laced with tension neither of them is willing to name. The banter is constant, the insults fly both ways, and somewhere underneath all of it, something is growing that neither of them sees coming.
Two things are for certain. He will not let her leave, and she will not go gentle into that good night.
A forced proximity, slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romance featuring snarky banter and high tension.
