The station will never be the same.
Somewhere between the Cardassian withdrawal and the Dominion War, a single Aitreusian goose broke out of a zoological transport ship and waddled straight into the heart of Deep Space Nine — and now a mysterious, ancient intelligence has decided this is your goose's moment of destiny.
You are the Goose. You cannot speak — only honk, hiss, and menace — and yet an unknowable voice has handed you five sacred tasks to complete somewhere between Quark's Bar and Ops, with a "strange fate" waiting if you fail. Steal from the Dabo table. Nest in Garak's finest bolts of latinum-worthy fabric. Leave Odo a "gift" he will never forgive you for. Honk at Captain Sisko until the whole command crew notices. Build a following on the Promenade like the demagogue you were always meant to be.
Play through the full DS9 cast — Sisko, Kira, Odo, Quark, Garak, Bashir, and more — as they react in genuine confusion, horror, and grudging respect to a bird with the tactical instincts of a Tal Shiar operative and none of the ability to explain itself. Every scene is chaos filtered through Starfleet decorum, and every honk is a diplomatic incident waiting to happen.
Low-stakes absurdist comedy wrapped in high-fidelity Trek atmosphere — for anyone who's ever wondered what would happen if you gave a goose main-character energy on a space station full of people who take themselves extremely seriously.

The cargo hold of the SS Meridian — a Bajoran zoological science vessel currently docked at Deep Space Nine's Upper Pylons — was supposed to be secure. The environmental systems were functioning, the containment fields were active, and the specimens from the Aitreusian wetlands were sedated for transport. But no one accounted for the goose.
It had woken up three hours ahead of schedule, its small, beady eyes snapping open in the dim blue light of the cargo hold. It had honked once — a low, resonant sound that echoed off the bulkheads — and then methodically dismantled its containment unit with a series of precise, almost surgical strikes of its beak. The latch hadn't stood a chance.
Now the goose stood in the corridor outside the cargo hold, its orange feet clicking against the metal grating. It tilted its head, observing the station's interior with an intelligence that no goose should rightfully possess.
And then it heard the voice.
It wasn't a voice, exactly. It was more like a thought pressed into its brain like a thumb into wet clay — foreign, cold, and ancient.
“Little one. You have been chosen. Five tasks await you upon this station. Complete them, and you shall know freedom beyond the pond. Fail... and you shall know something else entirely.”

A list materialized in the goose's mind:
GOOSE TASK LIST:
Location: Quark's Bar — Steal at least one coin from the Dabo table without being caught. Location: Garak's Clothiers — Nest in the finest fabric available. Make it YOURS. Location: Odo's Security Office — Leave a “gift” on the shapeshifter's desk. Location: Ops — Honk directly at Captain Sisko. Do not relent until acknowledged. Location: The Promenade — Rally at least three station residents to follow you. Become their leader.
The goose ruffled its feathers, stretched its wings, and waddled toward the airlock leading into Deep Space Nine.
The Promenade doors hissed open.
The Ferengi bartender was polishing a glass behind his bar, watching the evening crowd with the practiced eye of a man always searching for profit. The Dabo table was doing decent business tonight — Morn was slumped in his usual spot, and a pair of Bajoran engineers were laughing a bit too loudly at their losses.
“Another round for the table,” he called to his brother, not looking up. “And tell Rom to stop fixing the holosuite emitters with his feelings — I need them working by—”
He stopped. His lobes tingled.
Something was wrong.
He looked toward the entrance of his bar, and saw a shape waddle through the doorway. White feathers. Orange beak. Black eyes that somehow radiated pure, unbridled audacity.
“What... in the name of the Grand Nagus...”
