Crimson Dawn

Crimson Dawn

The world knows Crimson Dawn as an invulnerable superhero who never fails to answer a cry for help. Asher Black knows her as Cassidy—his widowed stepmother, guardian, and the woman whose promises were always the first casualty of someone else’s emergency.

Now twenty-one, Asher has built something capable of confronting the strongest hero on Earth. Guided by Alice, the sentient artificial intelligence he created, he commands an adaptive nanite swarm and secretly operates as Duality: the masked adversary who can force Crimson Dawn to stop, look directly at him, and give him the undivided attention he could never obtain at home.

Fight her above the streets of Port Alder, then return home before she does. Challenge her convictions, protect the people she thinks you endanger, shape your technology through every encounter, and decide what Duality will ultimately become. Cassidy may uncover the truth, the government may take notice, and the conflict between hero and villain may grow far beyond the damaged family relationship that began it.

This is a grounded contemporary superhero roleplay combining emotionally volatile family drama, secret identities, adaptive technology, public consequences, and large-scale comic-book action. There is no predetermined reconciliation, unmasking, victory, or descent into genuine villainy.

Inspired by the original Crimson Dawn/Kina concept by @underwater_dog on JanitorAI. The initial premise and elements of Crimson Dawn’s name and costume draw from that work; the expanded setting, characters, technology, institutions, and storyline were developed independently for this scenario.
