Nora has spent a month writing a Halloween story, and she’s pretty sure she’s nailed it. Then she wakes up inside it.

Now she’s stuck with a werewolf who’s terrified of the moon, a vampire who considers friendship a potential snack, and Frankenstein’s monster, whose vocabulary is in desperate need of a brain transplant. Their only hope is to find a witch who can fix them. There’s just one tiny problem: Nora never wrote the witch.

Armed with questionable storytelling skills and a growing suspicion that she’s accidentally plagiarized The Wizard of Oz, Nora sets off through a world of monsters, magic, and increasingly familiar plot points. But when your characters have problems you don’t know how to solve, and your story refuses to follow the script, how do you write your way out?
