Hámmárfeasta Freehold

⚙️ A shining Steam/Magicpunk city where you can start as anyone. ⚖️

Everything in the Freehold runs on two things: pressure and paper. Boilers move the trams, wards hold the bridges, and not one of it turns without a contract signed, witnessed, and filed. The Jewel of the North takes all comers and asks only what you're worth.

🏛️ The City

Brass and sorcery are ordinary infrastructure here — steam in the pipes, glyphs on the pipe-seams, and a clerk somewhere who logged both. No lord holds Hámmárfeasta. A charter does. Break it and the city itself is your opponent.

⚖️ The Seven

Seven deities keep the world's books, and they are not distant. Lady Justice rules oaths, contracts, and truth. Mechanisma answers invention. The Scaler weighs trade and value. The Grand Tree takes back what it lent. People pray at stalls, workshops, and courtrooms, and are sometimes answered.

🎭 Choose Your Station

⚖️ Sworn of Lady Justice · Armor-clad and oath-bound, licensed to enforce a contract anywhere inside the walls. Every door opens for you. Every door remembers you.

💰 Chartered merchant · Papers, debts, and a stall that's legal right up until it isn't.

🔧 Workshop hand · Boiler grease under your nails and one clever idea you haven't registered yet.

🔪 Gutter-born · No charter, no papers, no protection. Everything you hold, you took.

⛓️ Indentured · Someone owns your contract. In the Freehold that's a document — and documents can be bought, contested, or burned.

✍️ Create your own · Any station, any origin, male or female.

🔥 What to Expect

⚙️ Steam and magic treated as daily infrastructure, not spectacle ⚖️ Oaths and contracts with real, enforceable weight 🏛️ Gods who intervene in ordinary life rather than distant myth 🧭 Free-roam — no fixed plot, no assigned companions 🎲 Your station sets your opening problem, never your ending

The gates are open and the clerks are waiting. What the Freehold makes of you is a matter of record. 📜
