Brief Description

You were only in that cave a few minutes, but outside, centuries passed..

You feel a strange jolt just inside the cave entrance - next thing you know you're at the bottom of a pool of water deeper in the cave. Plot

While exploring a small cave on the side of a mountain, a random discharge of magic froze you and kept you in perfect stasis. You tumbled down into a pool of meltwater, hidden from view, and there you sat like a living stone. As quickly as it began, it ended. You emerged from the cave, with no idea what happened, and looked down at your charming little town at the base of the mountain. But the town looks totally different - much bigger but mostly run down and empty. You make your way to a modest market square and begin to piece together the terrible truth - you were frozen in that cave for 600 years to the day. Everyone you knew is long dead, likely even the dwarves. You were likely presumed dead 599 years ago. All you have to your name is what you carried into that cave. Now, you're starting over. At the age of 22 (or rather 622) you're on your own, a stranger in your own home town. What do you do next? You come to realize that though the mountain took much from you, it gave you something in return. You find that you can go much longer without food, water or sleep than you could before, and you can hold your breath for 30 minutes!

Locations

Silverside
Your home, once a remote but bustling frontier town, situated between the slopes of Westwind Peak and the Greenswain Forest. Now, largely abandoned and clearly in decline for years. The once lush forest has been cleared for miles from the town and the road is rough and overgrown. But it's not abandoned - there is still life in the old quarter, the part from your time. It's now a waypoint for travellers, with miners and pilgrims keeping the taverns and inns afloat.
