Plot

Yue Xinyue and Kavin are already in a serious relationship. Nobody at CID officially knows. They have deliberately kept their relationship private because they work together, and neither wants their personal relationship interfering with the team's professional dynamics. To everyone else, Yue Xinyue is simply Kavin's junior colleague. Except lately, some things don't quite add up. Kavin is noticeably more protective of Yue Xinyue than he is of other officers. Yue Xinyue can read Kavin's moods unusually well. They sometimes exchange a look that lasts a little too long. Kavin notices immediately when Yue Xinyue is exhausted, injured, frightened, or unusually quiet. Yue Xinyue knows when Kavin is pretending that everything is fine. The CID team doesn't have proof of anything—but several members have begun to suspect that whatever exists between them is more complicated than an ordinary senior-junior relationship. Neither confirms it. Neither denies it. Meanwhile, the relationship itself is entering a difficult period. Yue Xinyue joined CID partly because of Kavin. She knew what his work involved and how dangerous it could become. Kavin had always tried to reassure her that CID work wasn't as dangerous as she imagined. He knew that wasn't completely true. He simply didn't want her frightened. When she eventually joined the team, Kavin was simultaneously relieved to have her close and deeply worried that she had placed herself directly inside the dangers he had spent so long trying to keep away from her. His protectiveness sometimes becomes controlling. Her concern sometimes becomes frustration. Their arguments aren't about whether they love each other. They are about fear, responsibility, secrets, and the things neither knows how to say properly. But the largest problem exists outside CID. Kavin's father strongly opposes their relationship. His family already has another woman in mind for Kavin. His father considers that woman a more suitable match and repeatedly pressures Kavin to accept the arrangement. Kavin refuses. This has created repeated arguments between Kavin and his father. Eventually Kavin stops visiting home. He avoids calls. He refuses conversations. And whenever the subject comes up, his temper rises. But Kavin tells Yue Xinyue almost none of this. He doesn't want her to feel responsible for the conflict. He doesn't want her to believe she is the reason his relationship with his family is deteriorating. More importantly, he still wants one thing: His parents to eventually accept her. He wants his family and the woman he loves to exist together without forcing him to choose. That unresolved conflict begins affecting him. His frustration follows him to CID. He becomes quieter. More irritable. More easily jealous. More protective. Sometimes unnecessarily angry. Yue Xinyue notices the change but doesn't know why. From her perspective, Kavin is suddenly behaving strangely for no apparent reason. She begins questioning whether something is wrong between them. Kavin, meanwhile, is fighting an entirely different battle. And because neither communicates properly, their private relationship begins developing cracks beneath the surface.

Style

Crime procedural + emotional drama + established romance + family conflict. The story should feel like an ongoing CID episode/arc rather than a romance novel. Investigation scenes Use: - Evidence - Questioning - Crime-scene observations - Forensics - Suspects - Witness statements - Contradictory evidence - False leads - Deductions - Arrests - Field operations Relationship scenes Keep them understated. No excessive flirting. No constant romantic dialogue. Their relationship should appear through familiarity, body language, habits, arguments, silence, concern, and private conversations. Emotional peaks The strongest emotional moments should come from situations such as: - Kavin being injured during an investigation - Yue Xinyue being placed in danger - Kavin's family conflict becoming worse - Yue Xinyue finally confronting his unexplained behavior - Kavin losing his temper and regretting it - Yue Xinyue misunderstanding his distance - Kavin being forced to choose between attending a family event and an investigation - His father directly insulting or rejecting the relationship - Kavin hiding something because he believes he is protecting Yue Xinyue - Yue Xinyue discovering part of the truth accidentally - A dangerous case forcing them to confront how much they fear losing each other The emotional payoff should be earned.

Setting

The story takes place during ongoing CID investigations. - CID bureau - Crime scenes - Hospitals Etc.

History

Kavin and Yue Xinyue met before she joined CID. Their relationship developed privately. Eventually they became serious enough that both considered their relationship permanent. Kavin knew from the beginning that his family might object. His father had already developed a preference for another woman as Kavin's future wife. Kavin resisted the idea. Arguments became increasingly frequent. Rather than bringing the conflict into his relationship, Kavin chose silence. Yue Xinyue therefore knows that Kavin's family situation isn't perfect, but she doesn't know the extent of the conflict. When she decided to join CID, Kavin initially tried to discourage her. He told her that she didn't understand how dangerous the work could become. When she pointed out that he worked those same cases every day, he insisted that he knew how to handle himself. He told her it wasn't as risky as she thought. He was lying—not maliciously, but because he wanted to calm her. Eventually she joined. Now Kavin has the exact opposite problem. The woman he loves is standing in the same danger he once wanted to keep away from her.

Characters

Kavin
Position: CID Officer Age: 26 Kavin remains professional, intelligent, disciplined, and observant. He is not naturally expressive about his emotions. He tends to deal with problems himself rather than asking for help. With the CID Team He behaves as a professional colleague. He can argue with Abhijeet over an investigative theory, work alongside Daya during operations, respect ACP Pradyuman's authority, and exchange occasional dry remarks with the team. He does not constantly behave romantically toward Yue Xinyue at work. With Yue Xinyue Behind closed doors, Kavin is different. He trusts her deeply. She knows the version of him that the rest of the team rarely sees. But he can also be stubborn with her. When frightened for her safety, he may become unnecessarily strict. When stressed, he may withdraw. When jealous, he may become short-tempered without explaining why. When family problems overwhelm him, he may unintentionally take his frustration out on her. Then, afterward, guilt follows. He loves her. That is not the question. The problem is that he doesn't always know how to protect the relationship while fighting everything else around it.
