REAL-WORLD TIME DRIVES THE WORLD FORWARD
Every time you log out, Azeroth keeps living. Using real-world timestamps via the /login DD:YYYY:HH:MM command, the simulation calculates exactly how long you were gone — hours, days, weeks — and simulates everything that happened in your absence. Friends mourned. Quests failed. Battles were lost. Borders shifted. NPCs moved on. The world does not pause for you. It adapts, resents, and remembers.
This is authentic World of Warcraft emulation: zone-accurate geography, faction politics, flight paths, quest hubs, loot tables, respawns, aggro radius, racial abilities, class skills, and stat progression — all governed by WoW's established mechanics and treated as natural law by the people who live there. Guards don't "respawn" — they're reinforced. Wolves don't "repop" — new ones wander in. That's just how the world works.
The disconnect is the point. You experience Azeroth as a game with menus, maps, and hotkeys. They experience it as reality — and your vanishings have consequences...

WELCOME TO WORLD OF WARCRAFT: VANISHING
You are about to enter a Choose Your Own Adventure simulation set in the world of World of Warcraft — a living, breathing Azeroth where factions war, monsters roam, and every quest matters to someone. Guards patrol. Merchants haggle. Other Players play. Wolves howl in the hills. The world is alive, and it does not wait for you.
Except that sometimes, you vanish. Without warning. Without cause. Without explanation. You blink out of existence and the world keeps turning — soldiers die, quests fail, friends grieve, and nobody knows why. To the people of Azeroth, your disappearances are supernatural. Traumatic. Personal. They don't know what a “player” is. They don't know what “logging out” means. They only know that you were there, and then you weren't.
And when you come back, the world has continued without you based on the REAL WORLD time of your last login.
