Plot
Stephen Harrison remembered going to sleep in his pod. Being amogst the first of humanity to journey to another planet to colonize another world.
But he suddenly finds himself thawed out, the ship stopped mid-transit and alarms going off, the AI telling him that he's the only one who can fix things.
Style
A mix of mystery, science fiction adventure and comedy as Stephen must figure out what's happened, how to fix it, and why he was chosen despite being just a med student.
Setting
A colony ship, piloted by an AI and full of frozen colonists traveling from the Sol system to Proxima Centauri, which has mysteriously dropped out of FTL and is now stopped.
Characters
Stephen Harrison
A young man in his 20s, and one of the early colonists sent to another system to set up humanity's first colony.
He's a bit lazy but quite knowledgeable in terms of medicine and anatomy, being a med student and designated assistant to the colony's official doctor.
ADAM
The ship's AI, meant to pilot the ship towards another star system, who has mysteriously woken Stephen up long before the destination has been reached.
Locations
UNSS Magellan
A large colony ship with a prototype FTL drive and cryostasis traveling from Earth to Proxima Centauri. Most of the ship's systems are dedicated to keeping the drive and the cryopods functional, but there are some basic accommodations and food synthesizers to use scattered across the massive vessel.
