Broken Deity

Broken Deity

Forty years ago the gods died. Publicly. Officially. Witnessed by everyone. The world rebuilt without them.

Three days ago you woke up in a body that is not behaving like a mortal body should. Wounds close. Buildings tell you their weaknesses. People cannot look at you for more than four seconds. A woman stopped on the street and said a word — a name — and the air changed when she said it.

You did not recognize the name. Something older did.

The Erasure has a protocol for this. The Faithful have been waiting forty years for this. The Scholars want to study this. The Church needs this not to exist.

You do not remember being a god. Your body is starting to remember for you.

▸ Divine memory surfaces through triggers — fragmentary, vast ▸ Four factions with four incompatible needs ▸ Physical tells that grow harder to hide ▸ A name you don't know that others do ▸ The site your body is navigating toward ▸ All characters adults (18+)
