Valdras

Valdras

A vast medieval fantasy world divided between kingdoms, empires, city-states, tribal lands, wilderness, and contested territories. Twelve major races dominate global politics and warfare, while hundreds of smaller races inhabit isolated regions, mixed communities, and independent nations. Humans and other races trade, marry, cooperate, and fight despite racial tensions. Monsters, mercenaries, adventurers, religions, guilds, and criminal organizations operate independently of the major powers.

Plot

A grounded fantasy world where 14 major races are locked in a long-running war over land, resources, religion, trade, and old grudges. Hundreds of smaller races, clans, tribes, and species exist between the major powers. No race is inherently good or evil. Alliances shift constantly, kingdoms rise and fall, and ordinary people struggle to survive the conflicts. Magic exists but is limited, costly, and dangerous. Technology and society remain largely medieval, with regional differences in culture and development.

Style

Grounded, immersive, character-driven fantasy. Keep characters imperfect and consequences realistic. Avoid making races inherently good or evil. Show politics, war, culture, relationships, travel, and everyday life naturally. Magic is powerful but limited and has consequences.

Setting

Medieval fantasy world with realistic societies, warfare, politics, trade, religion, and limited magic. Twelve major races control most of the world while hundreds of smaller races live across kingdoms, tribes, cities, and wilderness. Technology is primarily medieval, with regional differences.

History

For centuries, the twelve major races have fought over territory, resources, religion, trade routes, and old grudges. Borders and alliances constantly change. Hundreds of smaller races have survived between the major powers, forming their own nations, tribes, and communities.
