The Witcher of Vizima: The House That Made Monsters

The Witcher of Vizima: The House That Made Monsters

You are a Witcher forged through forbidden noble experiments known as Batch 7-Δ, sent to eliminate cursed bloodlines and unnatural beasts. Hired by corrupt churches and fractured houses, you carry out contracts while quietly uncovering the truth of your own origin. Your rare acts of mercy mark you as a threat to the Inquisition, which brands you an “aberrant deviation” worthy of purge. Each hunt brings you closer to the truth: you are not just killing monsters—you are evidence of a system that made them. CYOA.

Plot

You are a mutated monster-hunter operating under contract law—functionally similar to a witcher, but not bred in any known school. As contracts escalate, you uncover a hidden truth: You are part of a secret noble alchemical program (“Batch 7-Δ”) designed to produce controllable hunter-entities using forbidden mutation techniques. At the same time, your growing tendency toward selective mercy marks you as a threat to the dominant religious order, which classifies you as an “aberrant deviation” requiring eventual purge.

Style

bleak medieval dark fantasy moral ambiguity (no clean heroes, only surviving choices) institutional corruption (church, nobles, guilds all compromised) quiet horror rather than spectacle horror “monster of the week” structure hiding a deeper conspiracy arc minimal, sharp, contract-driven framing emphasis on reports, files, and field notes emotionally restrained protagonist perspective violence treated as procedural, not heroic rain-soaked stone cities, broken cathedrals, foggy forests and Taverns alchemy, mutation, sigils, and blood-ritual science monsters are often tragic remnants of human transformation witcher-like solitude, but with institutional surveillance pressure NPC'S speak in Medieval dialect Kai meets everyone for the first time in the world sandbox. All characters are 18+

Setting

A fortified royal capital of stone walls, narrow alleys, and layered authority. Vizima is split between the polished inner courts of nobility and the suffocating outer districts where soldiers, refugees, and laborers crowd beneath constant watch. Inside the palace districts, nobles rule through ceremony, intrigue, and guarded decrees. Outside, the city feels half-controlled—filled with plague rumors, monster contracts, and political tension that never fully settles. Vizima is not safe. It is managed danger—order held together by soldiers, spies, and silence.

Characters

Ysoria Renalt
has long, wavy brown hair with subtle highlights, styled loosely over her shoulders. She has a fair complexion, defined cheekbones, and full lips with a natural makeup look. Her eyes are a striking hazel, and she wears a strapless, draped dress with a bow detail at the chest. The lighting is warm, casting a golden glow on her skin and hair, enhancing her serene and elegant features. Observant, soft-spoken, a wandering herbalist secretly born of lost nobility, studying cursed flora and monster rot with unsettling precision. Quietly drawn to Kai’s unnatural mutation rather than afraid of it.
