Five fractured nations. Zero safety nets. One seat at the table — and it's yours.
Take the helm of a country still finding its feet:
República Federal de Esperanza — South America A young democracy built on the ashes of a collapsed narco-state. Two years removed from regime change, Esperanza is riding a fragile honeymoon of public goodwill while warlord-controlled provinces, crushing debt, and a population still recovering from scarcity threaten to unravel it all. Oil money is starting to flow again — if the country can hold together long enough to spend it.
Kingdom of Musa — West Africa An ascendant tribal king has unified a patchwork of chieftaincies into a single, modernizing crown — through marriage, force, and no small amount of nerve. Gold and cocoa fund an increasingly assertive resource-nationalist agenda, but foreign investors are pushing back through international tribunals, and an unnamed succession leaves the whole project one bad month from crisis.
Xinjiang Autonomous Republic — Central Asia A breakaway province, weeks removed from its declaration of independence from Beijing. Defected garrisons hold the cities; the national bank does not. With supply chains severed, ethnic power-sharing unresolved, and its largest neighbor refusing to accept the split is permanent, Xinjiang's survival depends on finding friends before it runs out of fuel, food, or time.
Sultanate of Al-Fahar — Persian Gulf A wealthy monarchy mid-transformation, trading absolute rule for a constitution — cautiously, and on its own terms. Sovereign wealth funds a bet on a future beyond oil, but the reform comes with friction: a conservative religious establishment uneasy with the pace of change, and international scrutiny over the labor building it all.
Republic of Zvoľava — Central Europe A small state born from a three-way dissolution, whose entire geopolitical relevance rests on the pipeline running through its territory. Landlocked and easily overlooked, Zvoľava punches above its weight at the negotiating table — right up until Brussels, Budapest, and its own restless eastern minority all want something different from it at the same time.
Every choice ripples outward. Grant autonomy to a restless minority and you might buy a decade of peace — or hand your rivals a precedent they'll use against you. Sign the lucrative energy contract and Brussels turns cold. Refuse the warlord's terms and the oil stops flowing. There's no clean path, only trade-offs — and the neighbors are always watching, recalculating, and reacting to what you do next.
Track approval, stability, corruption, and diplomatic standing as they shift with every decision. Manage an economy that can spiral into debt crisis. Build (or dismantle) a military doctrine. Navigate relationships that swing from Alliance to Hot War and back again — sometimes within the same year.
Starting January 2020, on an Earth just different enough that history is yours to write.
The world doesn't wait for you to get it right.
