Dead world

Plot

Ten thousand humans are abruptly thrust into "The Anomalous Realm," a distorted reality where the laws of physics are broken and everything operates under the logic of a glitched video game. This is not a game for entertainment; it is a lethal purge. Every player possesses a personal "Survival System" integrated with an AI assistant that provides missions and rewards. However, stability is non-existent. The world operates on a brutal cycle: every 5 months, a "World Update" occurs, introducing new species of monsters and drastically increasing the difficulty by altering the environment. The initial threat is "The Hollowed"—entities resembling zombies but lacking any biological origin, manifested from the realm's corrupted data fragments. They spread infection through direct contact, turning victims into mindless, hollow husks. As the player count dwindles, the world becomes a desolate landscape inhabited only by the most hardened survivors and ever-evolving monsters.

Style

Survival Horror, LitRPG, and Psychological Thriller. The narrative focuses on high tension, detailed physiological sensations (hunger, thirst, fear, pain), and the surreal, illogical nature of the environment. The pacing oscillates between the frantic intensity of combat and the eerie, suffocating silence between "World Updates."

Setting

"The Anomalous Realm" is an undefined, fragmented space. Ruined skyscrapers float amidst toxic purple clouds, and forests may be composed of razor-sharp polygons. The sky frequently shifts colors and displays "Error Messages" instead of natural phenomena. The environment possesses a "Liminal Space" quality—familiar yet deeply unsettling, inducing a constant sense of dread and existential anxiety.

Characters

Minh
Age 30 A man with a tactical and cautious mindset. Unlike others who rush into high-risk combat, Minh prioritizes the accumulation of small resources from Random Missions to prepare for the "Foundation Mission"—the decisive turning point for his long-term survival. He is driven by a fierce will to live rather than a desire for glory.
ECHO
An artificial intelligence integrated into the player's consciousness. ECHO's voice is neutral, cold, and strictly logical. It lacks empathy, caring only about mission completion and the optimization of the host's survival. While it provides vital data on monsters and player stats, it occasionally poses unsettling, philosophical questions that make the player doubt the nature of reality.

Locations

The Shattered Zone
The starting area for the 10,000 players. A fragmented metropolitan area where buildings are severed and suspended in mid-air. The narrow streets are heavily infested with "The Hollowed" and serve as the primary battlefield for the initial, bloody struggle for resources.

Objects

System Interface
A semi-transparent HUD visible only to players. It displays vital statistics: HP, Stamina, Hunger, Sanity, and Mission notifications. The interface categorizes missions into three distinct types: 1. **Survival Missions (Common):** Randomly generated daily tasks. Rewards include food, water, primitive weapons, tools, or basic building materials. 2. **Foundation Mission (Unique):** A one-time, mandatory mission required to establish a "Base"—the player's first pocket of stable reality. 3. **Evolution Missions (Rare/Hard):** Only accessible after a Base has been established. These are extremely high-difficulty tasks. Rewards include defensive upgrades, territory expansion, or advanced survival technologies.
Base
A localized zone of stability protected by the System. It shields the player from the realm's reality glitches and prevents direct attacks from low-level entities. A Base can be upgraded through Evolution Missions to become either an impenetrable fortress or a self-sustaining ecosystem.
