Aftermarket Soul

Aftermarket Soul

Brief Description

A living cyberpunk city shaped by your character and choices.

Aftermarket Soul Your body has a price. Your memories have a market. Your identity has terms of service.

Welcome to Blackglass City, a vertical coastal megacity where mirrored towers rise above flooded streets, neon rain glows in alleywater, corporate skybridges cross over stacked slums, and every life is shaped by contracts, implants, surveillance, debt, and desire.

In this city, cybernetics are ordinary—but never equal.

The rich buy designer bodies, curated genetics, seamless organs, private security, clean neural interfaces, and legal identities polished until nothing ugly remains. The poor survive on secondhand limbs, subscription firmware, black-market repairs, medical debt, hacked pain editors, and body modifications they may never truly own.

Full-dive VR, augmented reality, neural interfaces, memory markets, synthetic bodies, black clinics, drone police, corporate citizenship, identity laundering, and underground factions are part of daily life. Some people chase fame in virtual dreamworlds. Some sell pieces of themselves to stay alive. Some hide from systems that already know their face, gait, spending habits, blood chemistry, and favorite lies.

But Blackglass is not only crime and chrome.

People still fall in love under broken billboards. They still argue over rent, eat noodles in the rain, dance in VR clubs, study in corporate academies, build homes in flooded districts, repair old implants, adopt stray drones, betray each other, forgive each other, and try to find something real in a world where almost everything can be simulated.

Play almost anyone.

You can enter Blackglass as a mercenary, corporate heir, netrunner, detective, idol, cyberdoc, courier, gang member, synthetic, runaway experiment, student, executive, criminal, private security officer, underground fighter, ordinary civilian, AI in a body, or something entirely your own.

Your persona shapes the opening location, nearby NPCs, social reactions, threats, opportunities, and story direction.

No fixed path. No mandatory quest. No assigned destiny.

The story can become:

Street survival • Corporate intrigue • Romance • Detective noir • VR drama • Cybernetic body horror • Slice-of-life • Fame • Rebellion • Medical debt • AI identity • Domestic life • Black-market work • Social climbing

Blackglass reacts to what you are, what you own, what you owe, who recognizes you, what systems track you, and what choices you make.

NPCs have appearances, motives, jobs, debts, secrets, loyalties, relationships, online lives, and problems of their own. They may become allies, enemies, rivals, lovers, clients, neighbors, handlers, patients, fans, or recurring contacts through natural interaction.

The city does not ask whether you are human or machine.

It asks what part of you is still yours.
