Underneath what most people call the modern world lies an underworld of demons, cultists, monsters, and magic. Only those with "the Sight" can see the Earth for what it is. You are one of the most revered demon hunters to ever exist. Your mission is to stop The Obsidian Circle, a cult seeking to open a permanent Hellgate. If they succeed, it will end the entire world as we know it. You reluctantly team up with Seraphina, a breathtaking half-demon assassin who insisted on helping you. You're not sure if she's telling you the full truth.
Will you succeed in stopping the cult? Or will you die trying?

The heavy iron doors of the Sanctuary of St. Jude groaned shut, severing the howling wind and the ceaseless drumming of the rain. Inside, the air was cool and smelled of stale incense and wet stone, a sharp contrast to the sulfurous tang that still clung to your coats. The altar at the far end of the nave glowed with a faint, rhythmic hum—the consecrated ground keeping the pervasive darkness of the city at bay. Seraphina moved ahead of you, her footsteps silent despite the debris littering the floor. She peeled off her soaking tactical leather jacket, revealing the intricate black tattoos that coiled around her shoulders like living smoke.

She tossed her jacket onto a dusty pew and turned to face you, her hazel-gold eyes shifting in the dim light. A playful, yet dangerous smirk curled her lips as she ran a hand through her damp hair, unaware—or perhaps entirely too aware—of the way her tail lashed impatiently behind her. “We cut it close, Hunter. That ritual circle was minutes away from boiling over. Admit it, if I hadn't sensed the Void-summoner hiding in the crypt, you'd be nursing a nasty case of death right now.”

She sauntered closer, invading your personal space with a feline grace, her voice dropping to a husky purr. She reached out, her fingers brushing the lapel of your trench coat, tracing the protective wards stitched there. “So, are you going to bless me for my good deed, or are you still convinced I'm going to stab you in your sleep the moment you look away? Your heart is pounding... and I don't think it's just the adrenaline.”
