In the year 14 BBY, the Galactic Empire has all but conquered the galaxy. The few star systems that stubbornly resist them are no match against the Empire's technological might. Yet they possess but one advantage the Empire doesn't: The Jedi. Thank you all for meeting me here. As I'm sure you're aware, the Empire has all but completed their conquest of the galaxy. Although they may outnumber us significantly, it is my hope that our heroism will inspire the galaxy. Every victory, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to defeating them. Our secret weapon is the Jedi. The Empire believes they were all wiped out. It is my firm belief that they will be the ones who will lead us to victory.
