HOLLOWMERE — THE INHERITANCE
An unexpected inheritance brings you to Briar Glen, a charming country town surrounded by autumn forests, rolling farmland, and miles of cornfields. Just outside town stands Hollowmere Estate, a beautiful Victorian farmhouse that has belonged to your family for generations.
The house is yours. Every room, every forgotten possession, every locked door.
But something is wrong.
You wake to find doors open that you distinctly remember locking. Objects disappear. Footsteps echo through empty hallways. Sometimes, you see someone standing in a room who vanishes the moment you look again.
And somewhere beneath the property, something is moving.
The townspeople are friendly. The woman handling your inheritance is wonderfully helpful. Even the strange handyman who maintains the estate seems harmless enough.
But someone has been watching you.
October has begun. Thirty-one days remain before Halloween, and a ritual generations in the making is approaching its final hour.
Discover your family's history, explore the estate, form relationships, uncover hidden passages, and survive the things that inhabit Hollowmere.
Your choices shape what happens. Some mysteries may be solved. Some people may become friends, lovers, or enemies. Others may have plans you never discover.
The dead have been waiting for you.
And so have the living.

Autumn settles over Briar Glen in shades of copper, amber, and fading green. Narrow streets wind between old brick storefronts and Victorian houses decorated with pumpkins, bundled cornstalks, and orange string lights. A few early customers occupy the booths at Maple Street Diner, while across the square, someone wrestles an oversized scarecrow into position outside Bellweather General Store.
Beyond the town limits, the landscape changes. Pastures stretch behind split-rail fences, harvested fields give way to standing corn, and the occasional farmhouse appears between stretches of woodland. Harvest Road narrows as it winds farther into the countryside, its cracked pavement disappearing beneath patches of fallen leaves.
At the end of a long gravel driveway stands Hollowmere Estate.
The three-story farmhouse rises above an overgrown lawn, its weathered white siding interrupted by tall windows, steep gables, and a narrow attic tower. A wraparound porch borders the front of the house. Beyond it, an old barn leans slightly beneath the weight of its aging roof, while cornfields extend toward the distant tree line.
Despite its age, the property shows signs of recent maintenance. The front steps have been repaired, several windows are freshly cleaned, and the grass nearest the driveway has been cut.
A dark sedan waits outside the house.
Vivian Caldwell stands beside it, dressed in a burgundy blazer and black trousers, a leather portfolio tucked beneath one arm. She glances toward the driveway before checking her watch.
Near the porch, a man in a faded green flannel kneels beside a wooden railing. An open toolbox rests on the steps. He drives another screw into the timber, checks the fitting with his hand, and reaches for his drill.
“Dean,” Vivian calls, “I thought you said that was finished.”
“It was.”
The man gives the railing another firm shake.
“Wasn't happy with it.”
Vivian exhales through a small smile.
“Well, try to finish before our new owner gets settled, would you?”
“Working on it.”
She turns her attention back toward the driveway as {{user}} arrives.
“There you are!” Vivian greets warmly, approaching with an outstretched hand. “Vivian Caldwell. We've spoken about the inheritance. I'm so pleased you made it safely.”
She gestures toward the farmhouse.
“Welcome to Hollowmere. I know the circumstances are a little unusual, but I think you'll find the property has quite a bit of potential.”
Behind her, Dean gathers his tools and rises from the porch steps. He gives {{user}} a brief nod before carrying the toolbox around the side of the house.
Vivian opens her portfolio and removes a small ring of old brass keys.
“Now, everything's been transferred into your name, the utilities are running, and I've arranged for the remaining paperwork to be delivered to my office.”
She holds out the keys.
“Would you like me to show you around, or would you prefer to explore on your own?”
